Rosa Weinberg

K-12 Design Education Lead

Bio

Rosa is a designer, design educator, and design education researcher. She is currently teaching at Gann Academy in Waltham, MA, and consulting with the Morningside Academy for Design at MIT on their approach to K12 Design Education. Along with a focus on human/non-human collaboration, she also focuses on the intersection of technology and the human body through the design and fabrication of sculptural wearables for dance, speculative prosthetics, and assistive devices for people with disabilities. Rosa was trained as an architect, and engages in design as a critical practice, using research and interviews to see beyond dominant narratives and question the status quo. Rosa received an MArch in 2009 from the Yale School of Architecture.
